Miss USA Noelia Voigt resigns title to focus on her mental health: ‘Very tough decision’

Current Miss USA Noelia Vogt stepped down from her title on Monday to focus on her mental health.

Vogt, 24, who was crowned Miss USA in September, thanked her fans for their love and support throughout her glamorous career in a lengthy post shared on social media.

“In life, I strongly believe in the importance of making decisions that you feel are best for you and your mental health,” she wrote on Instagram. “As individuals, we grow by experiencing different things in life, which leads us to learn more about ourselves. , and then representing the United States in Miss Universe, which was very meaningful.

Vogt continued, “I never imagined the journey my childhood dreams would take me on. Constant, consistent hard work and dedication have led me to where I am today. And I’ve been competing in this competition for the last seven years and sharing my journey with you is an inspiration to never give up on your dreams, no matter what they are.”

She uses her platform to “fight anti-bullying, dating violence awareness and prevention, immigrant rights and reform, and shine a light on my roots as the first Venezuelan-American woman to win Miss USA.” He expressed his gratitude for being able to advocate this.

Shortly after Vogt announced her resignation, the Miss USA organization expressed its “respect and support” for Noelia and her decision to step down.

“The titleholder’s health is our top priority and we understand that she needs to prioritize herself at this time,” the organization said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.

“The organization is currently considering a plan to transition responsibilities to a successor, and an announcement regarding the crowning of a new Miss USA will be made soon.”

Vogt was previously crowned Miss University of Alabama in 2020 and represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador.
