Miss USA Seeks Restraining Order Against Congressman, Claims He Threatened to Make Private Videos Public

Lindsey Langston, the Miss America 2024 titleholder, has taken legal steps against Republican Representative Corey Mills from Florida, claiming he threatened to release an explicit video of her. Langston, who also serves as a Republican state commissioner for Columbia County, reported to local authorities on July 14 that Mills had menaced her, stating that he would harm her future romantic partner and circulate intimate footage of her. While Mills hasn’t been charged with any crime, his office mentioned they are not aware of any police reports on the matter.

Langston alleges that since February 20, 2025, Mills has maintained contact with various accounts, threatening to disclose nude images and recordings featuring her. The situation appears complicated, as their relationship began discreetly in November 2021, around the time Mills was purportedly going through a tough divorce. After moving into a beach house in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Langston learned that despite claims of being divorced, Mills was still legally married as of the summer of 2024.

As reported, their relationship quickly soured. Mills was allegedly taking affectionate photos with other women during holidays, leading to a significant rift. Langston chose to end things in February after finding out that Mills was under investigation for alleged involvement with a woman named Sarah Laviani, an Iranian co-founder based in Washington, D.C.

In a separate incident, Laviani had initially sought police involvement but later retracted her claim of a physical altercation, even as police noted a “cunning mark” on her arm. Mills reportedly continued to reach out to Langston post-breakup, brandishing threats toward anyone she dated. Screenshots seem to indicate a menacing tone from him.

In one message, Mills suggested that if she pursued relationships with others, those individuals should be warned about potential consequences he implied. He also pointedly mentioned sending her new partner videos, which raises serious concerns.

Mills’s office responded, accusing Langston’s attorney, Anthony Sabatini, of misusing the legal system for political ends, remarking on past election attempts that did not go in Sabatini’s favor. Mills asserted that allegations against him misrepresent his conduct, emphasizing his commitment to serving his constituents in Florida.

Sabatini, representing Langston, contended that Mills is receiving preferential treatment due to his congressional status. He firmly described the situation as sexual coercion, referencing Florida law, and expressed frustration over the investigation’s slow pace, attributing it to Mills’s political position.
