Zach Cozart Voices Opposition to Minors Changing Gender

Former MLB player Zach Cozart, known for his time with the Cincinnati Reds, has expressed strong opinions against minors undergoing gender changes. In a social media post, he shared that his reputation has suffered due to his conservative beliefs, particularly his stance that young people should not be allowed to alter their gender.

“Let me be clear—if these claims are accurate, I stand by my views. Children should not change their gender. Once you’re 18, fine, do what you want. But, honestly, you can’t even get a tattoo until you’re 18. So, yeah, I think I’m probably on the right track here. It shouldn’t be an option before that,” he stated.

Cozart has also addressed the subject of transgender athletes in women’s sports. Back in July, he reacted to a statement from Donald Trump asserting that there would be no men in women’s sports, saying, “Imagine being against this lol.”

Recently, he made a sarcastic comment regarding the Olympics’ ban on transgender athletes from competing in women’s events, suggesting that the decision came too late: “Wow, you just found it?”

While he previously indicated he would not support Trump if war was declared, Cozart changed his position following news of a cease-fire, expressing happiness for the turn of events and suggesting that trust in Trump was restored.

Last week, Cozart was nominated for the Reds’ Hall of Fame, highlighting his ongoing legacy in baseball.
