Molly Ringwald’s Warning Over ICE Actions
Actress Molly Ringwald shared a serious message on Tuesday, urging people to protest against what she termed the “heinous actions” of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In a video posted to her 1.4 million Instagram followers, she referenced the historical accountability of those who aided the Nazis, suggesting that a similar fate could await supporters of ICE in the U.S.
“Many people cooperated, while others resisted,” Ringwald noted, before adding, “In the end, they took their country back. The people who cooperated turned out to be criminals. And that’s what’s going to happen.”
She drew a distinction between Americans who protest ICE’s actions and those who remain silent.
Ringwald expressed her concern following the recent killing of Alex Preti, who was shot by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis.
“I can’t remain silent, and I don’t think anyone should,” she emphasized. “Terrible things are happening in our country right now.”
She didn’t hold back, calling the Trump administration a “fascist regime” and criticizing the brutal actions of ICE agents. “They are monsters,” she said. “They are humans too, but they’ve forgotten that and become something else.”
Reflecting on the suffering caused by these enforcement efforts, she lamented over individuals being separated from their families, highlighting deep moral issues at play.
In her video, she concluded with a call to action, urging viewers to stand up, voice their concerns, and not lose their sense of humanity. “Do the right thing, stand up and speak out,” she stated firmly.
