On Sunday, while campaigning with Vice President Kamala Harris in Georgia, Clinton criticized former President Donald Trump's opposition to the failure of a bipartisan border bill, then said she would have given up nursing care if proper testing had been done. He admitted the life of student Laken Riley, 22, may have been saved. Police said she was brutally raped and murdered by a Venezuelan man with family ties to the violent Torren de Aragua prison gang.

Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, 23, was already wanted by Interpol for the murder of another woman and raped a woman and her 9-year-old child in California before going to Maryland. Morin's battered body was found stuffed in a culvert in Maryland. .
Border authorities turned him away three times before he was able to cross into the United States on his fourth attempt, said Randolph Rice, a lawyer for the Morin family.
“His violent criminal history, which is known in his home country, was ignored,” he said on Monday.
