Police Conduct Second Raid at Tempe Tavern for Underage Drinking
In a recent operation, Tempe Police arrested 249 individuals suspected of underage drinking at the Tempe Tavern in Arizona on November 20, 2025. This marked the second such raid this year.
The arrests followed numerous complaints from local residents regarding underage drinking at the establishment on several occasions.
During the raid, about 57 law enforcement officers participated, leading to the apprehension of underage patrons for offenses like possessing false identification, being intoxicated as minors, and providing misleading information.
Out of the 249 arrests, 246 individuals were released afterward, while three were taken to the Tempe City Jail.
This isn’t the first time law enforcement has cracked down on the Tempe Tavern; back on April 28, 2025, a previous raid resulted in 173 arrests, also for underage drinking involving fake IDs.
The Liquor License Management Bureau will handle any potential violations of the Liquor Administration Law associated with this incident.
A spokesperson for the Tempe Police Department noted that the enforcement operation included officers from various units, reflecting community concerns about underage drinking at the tavern.
