Backlash Against Hasan Piker Over Alleged Dog Abuse
Left-wing Twitch streamer Hasan Piker found himself in hot water over the weekend after more clips of him allegedly mistreating his dog, Kaya, began circulating online.
Following a recent viral moment where Piker appeared to shout at his dog, creators and Reddit users have been compiling old footage to suggest a pattern of abusive behavior. Tectone, a prominent streamer, has shared one of these compilations and indicated that more footage is forthcoming.
In the last week, Tectone has been active in posting both old and new videos, claiming on Sunday that “in the past 24 hours, seven videos have been leaked of Hasan electrocuting his dog… This man uses his dog as a prop for six to eight hours a day. He is willing to significantly reduce the dog’s quality of life just to appear more human, more approachable. Everything he does is for optics.”

same movement
same feelings

every. single. clip.
More will be revealed in the future.

To look more human, to look like that…
In one of the videos Tectone shared, Piker discusses a souvenir mug he brought back from England, with Kaya lounging in the background. As he reaches for something, Kaya shifts positions to get into the frame for what seemed like a perfect shot.
Another clip features Piker talking about his “Japanese airport experience,” with Kaya curiously inspecting things in the background. His comments about the airport experience take a sudden turn as he redirects his focus back to Kaya, giving instructions off-camera and expressing irritation about the dog.
This new footage comes after a clip gained traction on social media where Piker appears to manage Kaya behind him during a stream. He complains that his mother “spoils” Kaya by allowing her to roam the house while he’s away.
I’ve always wondered how Hasan managed to keep his dog behind him throughout the stream.
That’s because he uses the shock collar on such a high setting that his dog screams when he uses it.
Using a dog as a prop actually makes it seem more friendly and realistic
Tectone and others are still digging up clips they claim reveal more instances of alleged abuse, and they suggest more will be available soon, though it’s unclear how many videos are currently out there.
Piker has dismissed the shock collar claims, referring to the accuser as a “crazy asshole” and jokingly suggesting he has an “evil villain lair.” In a widely shared clip, he showcases the collar but denies using it to shock Kaya, insisting it only produces vibrations.
