Crime Concerns in Los Angeles: Morgan Stewart Speaks Out
Reality TV personality Morgan Stewart has voiced her frustrations about the rising crime rates in Los Angeles, sharing in a recent podcast interview that it seems everyone she knows has been a victim of theft.
Currently featured on the Therapas podcast, Stewart revealed that despite investing in expensive security measures, she was still robbed. She mentioned the loss of a pricey Hermès Birkin bag she had purchased in France just days before it was stolen from her home.
“I bought it in France, brought it home, and two days later it was stolen from my house,” Stewart recounted.
Host Jake Shane responded, “Oh, I’ve heard about this. Morgan was robbed.”
“Two times,” Stewart clarified.
She explained further that her personal security guard had, unfortunately, fallen asleep, allowing the intruder to break in without being noticed.
“They entered our bedroom and stole my husband’s watch,” she added.
Interestingly, this wasn’t the only intrusion; she also recounted a significant loss of jewelry after her security caught a criminal on a nearby hillside.
Stewart has faced several home invasions and describes her home as a fortress. “I was just furious. I was angry. It’s a violation,” she expressed passionately.
It’s a grim reality for many in Los Angeles, where frequent robberies now seem like a norm. “This happens a lot in this area, but unfortunately, it happens all the time. Everyone I know has been robbed,” she noted.
A multitude of other Hollywood figures have experienced similar incidents. For instance, in Valentine’s Day 2025, the home of actors Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban was vandalized and looted. Additionally, HBO’s Entourage star Jeremy Piven faced a burglary where thieves made off with $200,000 worth of jewelry.
In a separate incident, actress Sophia Bush had her garage invaded by burglars who stole various items back in 2024. Furthermore, luxury jeweler Martin Katz fell victim to a home invasion in 2024, in which an estimated $2.5 million worth of jewelry was taken, attributed to a South American robbery ring.
Also alarming was the case of actress Kayley Cowan, who woke up in June 2022 to find an intruder in her home while she was alone late at night in LA.
Tragically, in 2021, Jacqueline Avant, the wife of a prominent music executive, lost her life during a home invasion robbery in an upscale Beverly Hills neighborhood.
