MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” has been taken off the air following the assassination attempt on President Trump.
Is MSNBC worried that Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski will say something stupid?
Daily Caller report:
MSNBC canceled its usual morning programming Monday morning for the first day of the Republican National Convention, less than 48 hours after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
MSNBC’s Ana Cabrera will host the 6 a.m. ET show, while NBC News Now’s Joe Fryer and Savannah Sellers will host the 7 a.m. show instead of the network’s usual morning “Morning Joe” timeslot as the Republican National Convention prepares to get underway in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The network opted to continue covering breaking news instead of tapping former Republican congressman from Florida, Joe Scarborough, and his wife, Mika Brzezinski, as co-hosts of the show.
Will they be on the air again?
The fact that “Morning Joe” went off the air today is significant. It signals an existential crisis within MSNBC and the broader Acela Media organization.
