The death toll in the Crocus City Hall attack has risen to 93, President Putin spoke to some of the suspects who were detained.
Russian state media reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that 11 suspects have been detained after Friday’s Crocus City Hall attack, which left at least 93 people dead.
Russia’s Investigative Committee announced early Saturday morning that 93 people had been killed. Russian media reported that 107 people were hospitalized, many in serious condition. The Ministry of Health announced that five children are among the hospitalized patients.
Russian media said the head of Russian intelligence told President Putin that 11 people had been detained, four of whom were directly involved in the attack.
Russian media, in another unconfirmed report citing a telegram message from Duma deputy Alexander Hinshteyn, said two people were arrested after a car chase in Russia’s Bryansk region. Bryansk is located southwest of Moscow.
A call for blood donations received so many people that a hospital in Moscow had to turn away blood donors.
Authorities in Moscow announced they would provide financial aid to the victims of the shooting and host funerals for the victims. People are laying flowers at the scene of the attack.
Sergey Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow announced that the local government would provide financial aid to those affected by the attack. TASS reports that financial assistance will be provided to both residents and non-residents of Moscow, and the amount will be between 500,000 rubles and 3 million rubles. (4,300 pounds to 25,700 pounds / $5,400 to $32,500). TASS also reported that the Moscow region announced it would host funerals for the victims.
TASS reported that a Russian intelligence official confirmed that the United States had warned of a terrorist attack, but said that “it was of a general nature and did not include details.”
Kremlin: Putin was told 11 suspects were detained
Russian state media has unconfirmed reports that some people have been detained in connection with the attack.
“The head of the FSB has informed President Putin about the arrest of 11 people, including all four terrorists directly involved in the Crocus terrorist attack,” the RIA posted on its Telegram channel, citing the Kremlin.
Earlier, Russian media reported that two people had been arrested after a car chase in Russia’s Bryansk region, citing a telegram message from Alexander Hinshteyn, a member of the State Duma.

Tensions between Russia and Moldova are rising, with Moldova, which shares a border with Ukraine, accusing Russia of destabilizing the country. Russian troops are stationed in Moldova’s breakaway region of Transnistria.

Russian state media reported that 107 people were hospitalized after a shooting incident occurred at Crocus City Hall on the outskirts of Moscow.
