A new poll finds that most Americans are optimistic about President-elect Trump's return to the White House.
In the survey, Conducted by CBS News A YouGov survey found that 60% of respondents said they were optimistic about President Trump's second term.
The remaining 40% say they are pessimistic about President Trump returning to the Oval Office.
The percentage of Americans who feel optimistic about Trump's presidency remains close to the scores of other presidents in the past.
58% felt optimistic when President Biden took office. According to CBS News, 56% of Americans are optimistic about Trump ahead of his first term.
Former President Barack Obama has the highest score of the past 10 presidents, with 79 percent of Americans optimistic about his term in office.
Trump was led to victory in the 2024 election because Americans had a pessimistic view of the economy.
According to the survey, only 38% said the economy is currently good, while 56% said the economy is bad.
52% expect the economy to be in good shape in 2025, while only 31% expect it to be in bad shape.
The survey was conducted between January 15th and 17th among 2,174 respondents and has a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.
