Four mothers died Wednesday after falling from a steep area of Massachusetts State Park.
Carolyn Sanger, 49, of Topsfield, fell about 50-75 feet and was declared dead at the scene of Sutton’s purgatory reservation, the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office told Fox News Digital.
Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene just after 2pm on Wednesday, officials told Fox News Digital.

Sutton police said Sanger was hiking with three children and other families when the incident occurred.
There were “multiple” medical professionals hiking around the area and we were able to see a doctor right away.
However, she was declared dead after a while, Sutton police wrote in a Facebook statement.
The troopers have secured the scene and the circumstances of the case remain under investigation by a state police detective assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
