Angel Mom Defends ICE After Daughter’s Tragic Death
Megan Voss, 37, was found deceased in a dumpster on property associated with undocumented immigrants in Illinois. Her mother, Jennifer Boss, is now speaking out in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents amidst what she describes as a coordinated attack against them.
This week, in a video produced by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Jennifer shared her daughter’s heartbreaking story and vocalized her support for ICE agents.
Last year, Jose Luis Mendoza Gonzalez, a 52-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico, faced charges for concealing a corpse and obstructing justice after the police discovered Voss’s remains on his property. She had been reported missing back in February 2025, and her decapitated body was later found stuffed in a trash can with bleach, likely to mask any evidence.
The situation became even more alarming when an Illinois judge, following Governor J.B. Pritzker’s sanctuary state policies, allowed Mendoza Gonzalez to be released rather than detained or turned over to ICE, which sparked public outrage.
In response, ICE agents were eventually able to locate Mendoza Gonzalez, arrest him, and take him off the streets.
“It breaks my heart that ICE is facing such harsh treatment,” Jennifer Boss expressed. “Please stay strong and don’t lose hope. Many are grateful for what you’re doing.”
“Every crime committed by someone who doesn’t belong here could have been prevented. It’s frustrating to see criminals being protected, even by leaders like Governor Pritzker. We just want those who have harmed our families to be brought to justice.”
Tricia McLaughlin from DHS commented on the matter, emphasizing that Voss was let down by Illinois state policies. “This is precisely why we are working to prioritize the safety of innocent Americans affected by illegal immigrants. Under President Trump’s leadership, we are focusing on removing dangerous offenders from our communities. In fact, 70 percent of ICE arrests involve individuals charged or convicted of crimes.”
