Mother of deceased Texas A&M cheerleader proposes a theory involving alcohol regarding her daughter's death

Tragic Death of Texas A&M Cheerleader Sparks Controversy

The mother of a Texas A&M cheerleader, Brianna Aguilera, who was found dead following a football game, suspects foul play. She believes her daughter was possibly thrown from a balcony after a chaotic situation with friends unfolded.

Brianna’s body was located early Saturday outside an apartment complex in Austin, where she had been celebrating after the Texas A&M game against UT. In light of this incident, her mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, has strongly dismissed the Austin police’s theory that the 19-year-old’s death could be an accident or suicide.

Rodriguez expressed her suspicion that Brianna might have been frightened after drinking too much and that, perhaps, her friends reacted poorly, leading to her fall. “Either someone pushed her off a balcony, or she might have accidentally fallen while trying to sleep,” Rodriguez mentioned to PEOPLE. With Brianna being small and unable to handle alcohol well, the mother believes this could have contributed to the tragic event.

“I think that’s probably how it happened. They got scared and acted out,” she added, firmly stating that in her view, her daughter would never willingly take her own life.

In her mourning, Rodriguez reflected on Brianna’s lively spirit and aspirations. “She was genuinely enjoying life, working hard at school and dreaming of becoming a lawyer.” The notion of her being suicidal struck Rodriguez as implausible. “I mean, why would she be? She had everything to look forward to.”

The Austin Police Department has indicated that the case regarding Aguilera’s death is ongoing. They clarified that current evidence does not suggest homicide. A police spokesperson stated that the investigation remains focused solely on the circumstances surrounding her death without any signs of criminal activity.
