MP Bob Blackman Urges Action Against Terrorist Camps in PoK

UK MP Condemns Jammu and Kashmir Terror Attacks

Bob Blackman, a British MP, has denounced the recent terrorist attacks in Pahargam, Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the support of Conservative lawmakers for India’s operations against Pakistan under what is termed Operation Sindoah, calling on Prime Minister Carestarme to take firm action against terrorist camps in Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (POK).

“In light of the tragic events in Pahargam, India initiated Operation Sindoah, conducting precision air strikes on nine terrorist bases. While peace talks are ongoing, I inquired about the measures the Foreign Secretary is pursuing to address issues in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” Blackman noted in a video of his speech shared on X.

His statements indicated Pakistan’s role in sheltering terrorist groups like Lashkar e-Taiba.

British Foreign Secretary David Ramy responded to Blackman’s inquiries, labeling the Pahargam attacks as “terrifying” and stating that the UK government is collaborating with both India and Pakistan to address terrorism. “It’s crucial we recognize the horror of such terrorism and we will continue our partnerships to tackle these threats,” Ramy remarked.

Ramy emphasized the necessity of support for both nations to achieve lasting peace.

Previously, Blackman has expressed his condemnation of the Pahargam attacks, urging the UK government to back India in its efforts to eradicate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. During a speech to Parliament on April 29, he described the assaults in Kashmir as “well-organized and coordinated,” specifically targeting “Hindu or Christian” men.
