Greene Questions Trump’s Christian Faith

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed doubts about President Donald Trump’s sincerity regarding his Christian faith. She pointed to Trump’s remarks about hating political opponents, particularly following the controversial pardon of her husband, Charlie Kirk, by Erica Kirk.

Greene stated, “That was the absolute worst thing to say. It just shows where his heart is.” She contrasted Trump’s comments with Erica’s professed faith, asserting it highlighted a significant difference in their beliefs.

Following that notable moment, Erica Kirk expressed forgiveness toward her husband’s alleged assailant, citing that it was a Christ-like act, something Greene claimed could have shifted the conservative movement’s narrative. “You can’t keep attacking someone and expect to offer forgiveness. I don’t believe in that as a Christian,” Greene remarked, reflecting on her own faith journey.

Greene, during a CNN interview, acknowledged her previous divisive rhetoric. “I’m sorry for participating in toxic politics. It’s very bad for our country,” she said, emphasizing a desire to transform her approach.

She has experienced some tension with Trump, particularly after voicing concerns about his handling of various issues, including foreign relations. Reports indicate that Trump has labeled her a “traitor” over these disagreements, especially regarding her push for the release of files connected to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Greene’s commitment to standing by victims of abuse has not faded, as she stated, “I stand with these women…and I make no apologies for that.” In turn, she claimed that Trump expressed worries about how her revelations might affect his allies.

In another development, Greene has announced her intention to resign from Congress effective January 5, 2026.
