The music festival that draws tens of thousands of people to Atlanta’s Piedmont Park will not be held this year.
Atlanta’s Midtown Music Festival canceled due to Georgia gun ban, reports say
A post Wednesday on Music Midtown’s Instagram page and website, a longtime staple for pop music lovers, said the festival is “on hiatus this year.”
The post didn’t explain why. An email sent to the festival’s producer, Live Nation, did not immediately respond.

The festival has hosted big artists over the years, including Pearl Jam and Coldplay. Last year’s lineup included Billie Eilish and Guns N’ Roses.

This festival has also been canceled for 2022. The news outlet, citing anonymous sources, attributed the decision to a Georgia Supreme Court ruling that outlined limits on private companies’ ability to ban guns on public lands.
