Musk discreetly withdraws shocking Epstein statements about Trump

Elon Musk seems to backtrack on some dramatic claims he made during a recent argument with President Donald Trump. On Thursday, Musk suggested that Trump’s name would be included in unreleased documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, implying that’s why the files haven’t been made public. He tweeted, “@RealdonaldTrump is in the Epstein file,” and later added, “Please mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”

Interestingly, it appears Musk has since deleted that post. Before that, there was a string of exchanges between Musk and Trump, but today, that particular post is no longer visible. It wasn’t the only message he removed; Musk also deleted a post that was in support of ousting Trump.

This tension flared up when Musk publicly criticized Trump’s major legislative accomplishment, a spending bill that he claimed increased the deficit by roughly $2.5 trillion. Their relationship, which had been marked by camaraderie, seemed to sour quickly. Musk previously donated about $277 million to Trump’s campaign and even played a role in government efficiency initiatives during Trump’s presidency.

Caroline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, referred to Musk’s comments as “an unfortunate episode.” Meanwhile, sources close to Trump stated that it’s already known that Trump expelled Epstein from his Palm Beach golf club, and they noted that the administration had previously disclosed documents concerning Trump’s involvement with Epstein, contradicting Musk’s claims.

A source raised an intriguing point: if Musk believed Trump had deeper ties to Epstein, why was he so complimentary in the past? Musk’s assertion came months after a significant batch of Epstein-related files were announced. In February, Attorney General Pam Bondy discussed the file’s release delay with FBI Director Kash Patel, emphasizing the need for full documentation.

Previously released documents include flight logs and contacts, although most individuals mentioned—aside from known figures like Ghislaine Maxwell—haven’t been accused of wrongdoing associated with Epstein. Some, like Prince Andrew and Jean-Luc Brunel, have denied allegations but faced scrutiny.

In the broader context, the lawsuit against Epstein and his associates details alleged abuses involving young women and girls. Epstein is said to have recruited girls aged 14 to 16 for exploitation. Maxwell, currently serving a sentence, is expected to be released in 2037.
