Musk: Federal workers who gave 'good responses' to new policy deserve promotion consideration

Tech billionaire Elon Musk was encouraged by the “good responses” he received so far to emails asking federal employees to detail recent work efforts, and those employees were promoted. He said he suggested that it be considered.

“We've already received a lot of positive reactions. Musk, President Trump's special advisor, said in a post earlier on X's Sunday:

His posts came in response to previous social media messages. “In line with the instructions of Realdonaldtrump, all federal employees will soon receive an email requesting a request to understand what they did last week.”

“A failure to respond will be considered a resignation,” he added.

A message reviewed by Hill told federal employees, “Please reply to this email about five bullet points of what you achieved last week.”

The email directed the manager about the response, not to send confidential information or attachments to employees or to respond by 11:59pm on Monday.

Musk also suggests that he asks why the strategy of amplifying messages on social media and responding to work outcomes is a common practice in the private sector and is controversial.

A new Trump administration strategy will emerge as masks play a large role in helping Trump reduce the size of the federal government and cut its workforce.
