Pop star Shakira recently criticized the Oscar-winning film. barbie He said his sons didn’t like the film, calling it “eviscerating” men.
In an interview with allure Magazine’s “Whenever, Whenever” singer Asked Watch a movie based on a famous fashion doll starring Margot Robbie.
“Yeah, I saw it,” the pop star said, but the magazine added “long hiatus” as her reaction to seeing the movie.
Shakira didn’t mince words about how she and her family felt about the film, which won this year’s Academy Award for Best Original Song.
“My sons absolutely hated it,” the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer explained. “They felt it was gutting. I agree to some extent.”

“I’m raising two boys. I want them to feel strong too. [while] I respect women,” she continued. “I like pop culture where men try to empower women without taking away their potential to be men, without taking away their potential to protect and offer women.”
“I believe in giving women all the tools and confidence that they can accomplish everything without losing their essence, without losing their femininity,” she claimed. “I think men have a purpose in society and women have another purpose. We complement each other and that complementarity shouldn’t be lost.”

“Just because women can do anything doesn’t mean they should?” she said.
“Why not separate the load with those who are qualified to carry it, and those who are also obliged to carry it?” she asked.
Shakira’s new album Las Mujeres Ya No Jolanwhich was just released last month.
