A naked man has been charged with murder after randomly killing a veteran in Austin, Texas, police said.

Rahsaan Dobbins, 41, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Warnero Young.

According to FOX 7 Austin, on February 1st, Austin Police were dispatched to a Super 8 Motel in South Austin for a report of someone in trouble.

When officers arrived, they said they heard gunshots and saw a naked Dobbins shoot Young. According to the department, the officers gave instructions to Dobbins, who was still holding a gun. He eventually complied with their orders and was taken into custody.

Young died after paramedics attempted life-saving measures.

Dobbins allegedly opened the motel room door, found Young on the stairs and shot her. Police said the suspect told officers he had never seen Young with a gun and did not know who Young was.

Young’s friend Stephanie Carrillo told FOX 7 Young was at the motel helping a friend move.

Dobbins is being held in the Travis County Jail on $750,000 bail.

A GoFundMe page to help Young’s family with funeral expenses had raised more than $6,000 as of Tuesday morning.
