NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Justin Allgaier took a hard hit during Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Allgaier was fighting within the top five as the pack exited Turn 2 on Stage 1, but as he approached Riley Herbst, he eased up and spun on the backstretch. Olgayer tried to get the machine back on track, but it was too late. He headed right against the wall and hit it hard.

Allgaier spun back onto the track and the No. 7 came to a stop in the middle of the backstretch. He was seen pulling down the safety net and taking off his steering wheel.

“I hate it for anyone to dash for money. Obviously it’s a really important race for us but we have nothing to show for, no stage points,” he added. . “So I hate it, I hate everyone in the store.”

Herbst added that he did not intentionally try to spin out Allgeier and would call him later about the sinking.
Allgayer finished 38th in the race. Herbst fought for the lead, but ended up finishing second behind Jesse Love in two overtimes.
