Nashville Mayor Has 'Aligned with Criminal Illegal Immigrants'

Nashville Mayor Criticized for Stance on Illegal Immigration

During a recent discussion, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) took aim at Nashville’s Democratic Mayor, Freddie O’Connell, accusing him of favoring undocumented immigrants over law-abiding citizens. She emphasized that some of these immigrants pose serious threats, like being involved in pedophilia and child exploitation.

Blackburn argued that O’Connell prioritized the interests of “illegal criminal aliens” over those who abide by Nashville’s laws. She further noted that the mayor had disclosed sensitive information regarding the operations of Homeland Security and ICE agents, which she claims jeopardized their safety and effectively established an illegal sanctuary city in Tennessee.

“We need to understand the risks involved here,” she added, emphasizing that Tennessee residents do not want drug traffickers, sex offenders, or violent criminals in their communities. The general sentiment, she said, is in favor of deporting such individuals.

“People want these lawbreakers out of their towns,” Blackburn asserted, suggesting that the majority of Tennessee citizens support deportation efforts.

“It’s important to recognize that entering the country illegally is against the law,” she continued. “You won’t find any other nation that permits this behavior.”

She highlighted statistics about arrests involving undocumented immigrants, agreeing with host Mike Slater who noted figures of apprehended individuals, including those with serious crimes like child rape and murder.

Blackburn argued that deporting these individuals would enhance public safety, creating a safer environment for law enforcement. She mentioned that groups such as Tren de Aragua and MS-13 are considered foreign terrorist organizations by the U.S. government, further underscoring the dangers they represent.
