Washington – Nate Morris, a Businessman, Enters Senate Race

The American First Movement is currently led by Nate Morris, a Kentucky businessman who’s positioning himself to clean up what he sees as the mess left by long-standing Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY). His campaign is making waves with a launch video set to debut exclusively on Breitbart News.

“It’s Kentucky’s garbage day. Things are messy because of Mitch McConnell. The people here are tired of career politicians creating chaos,” said Morris while riding on a garbage truck, tossing out a cardboard cutout of McConnell along with some campaign signs from the senator’s long tenure. “I’m Trump, Nate Morris, the first conservative, and I’m here to take out the trash,” he declared.

Titled “Garbage Day,” this ad anticipates notable support, especially from those aligned with President Donald Trump. Morris announced his campaign on Triggered, a podcast hosted by Donald Trump Jr. This suggests he might soon gain traction within Trump’s circle.

In the video, Morris drives around Kentucky on a garbage truck, collecting various symbolic remnants associated with McConnell’s career. A visible sign on the trash can reads “DC Swamp Cleanup Services,” as Morris criticizes McConnell for having “destroyed Trump” and alluding to McConnell’s decades in office. He collects signs representing McConnell’s unpopular policies and remarks, including issues like immigration, gun control, and foreign aid, even discarding a cutout of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

Morris is positioning himself against McConnell, aiming for a seat that has been held by the senator for many years. His main challengers in the Republican primary include Rep. Andy Barr (R-KY) and former attorney general Daniel Cameron. However, it seems like Morris could emerge as a significant contender, especially with Trump’s potential backing.

This Senate seat, long occupied by McConnell and noted as a major anti-Trump voice within the Republican Party, has ignited Trump’s frustration, emphasizing the importance of this race. On another note, Rep. Thomas Massey (R-KY) has hinted that Trump plans to campaign in the GOP primary if a contender arises.

Morris isn’t holding back; he challenges both Barr and Cameron directly, highlighting their praise for McConnell as a “mentor.” This criticism is interspersed with visuals of Morris discarding McConnell’s campaign artifacts on a broken TV screen in the ad.

The ad also introduces Morris’s background in the garbage industry. He founded Rubicon, which has grown into a significant waste management firm, employing thousands and earning around $700 million in revenue under his leadership. He’s also involved in various business ventures as the chairman and founder of Morris Industries.

“I was born in Kentucky to a single mother on food stamps and raised in a union family. I embody the grit of Bluegrass,” Morris explains in the ad. “I’ve provided thousands of jobs and turned my company into one of America’s largest waste management firms, increasing its value to $2 billion.”

His personal narrative bears similarities to that of Vice President J.D. Vance, particularly with Vance’s rise as an ally to Trump. Earlier this year, Morris had publicly called on McConnell to retire after criticizing his voting record regarding Trump’s cabinet appointments.

McConnell, facing health concerns, has signaled that he wouldn’t seek re-election. After Morris’s call for McConnell’s retirement, he received endorsements from Trump Jr. and Turning Point’s Charlie Kirk.

Morris has also advocated for a full ban on immigration until all illegal immigrants allowed into the country by former President Biden are addressed.

Overall, Nate Morris might be on the verge of making a significant impact in the Senate race, especially given the stakes associated with this vital seat.
