NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown rewards fans who recovered custom ring after he lost it at Celtics’ victory parade

The Boston Celtics won their NBA-record 18th championship on June 17. A few days later, the team held a victory parade in Boston.

Celtics star Jaylen Brown took part in the victory parade but lost one of his prized possessions during the procession. Brown later posted on social media asking for help in locating his custom “7uice” ring.

The reigning NBA Finals MVP added that there is a “big reward” available to whoever recovers the personalized jewelry.

On Tuesday, Brown shared a positive update by posting a photo of himself holding the previously lost rings and saying that the two fans who kept their promise and found them, Luke and Addie, will have the opportunity to attend the Celtics’ NBA championship ring ceremony in the fall.

“We got it back. Thanks Luke and Addie. See you courtside. [ring emoji] “Ceremony,” Brown wrote to X.

Brown also posted a video on his Instagram account of meeting the fan who had his ring back, during which Brown gifted the fan a jersey and an autographed basketball.

The Celtics are set to receive their diamond-encrusted championship rings during their 2024-25 home opener in October, though the exact date of that game has yet to be announced.

Brown agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax contract extension in 2023.

Brown’s teammate, Jayson Tatum, scored 31 points to lead the Celtics to a 106-88 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Tatum had a memorable start to July, reportedly agreeing to a five-year, $314 million contract, the most lucrative supermax deal in league history, according to ESPN.
