Charles Barkley Eyes TV Exit, Distances Himself from Aaron Rodgers’ Style
Charles Barkley is contemplating stepping away from television soon, and he’s not interested in adopting the same approach as Aaron Rodgers during his farewell tour.
In a recent chat on SiriusXM, Barkley, a celebrated NBA All-Star and Hall of Fame member, chuckled at any comparisons to Rodgers’ exit. He expressed clear disapproval of the quarterback’s messy final season, saying, “I tell you what though, I’m not gonna bury everybody going out the door like Aaron. I’m not gonna burn every bridge and talk bad about all my exes on my way out the door like he’s doing.”
The former basketball star aimed particular criticism at Rodgers’ recent appearance on the Not Just Football podcast, where the quarterback aired family grievances. Rodgers shared details about a long-running feud with his parents and brothers, Luke and Jordan, which intensified publicly during Jordan’s time on The Bachelorette in 2016, leading to a strained family dynamic.
Now, with 25 years of experience in the media industry, Barkley has forged a career built on honesty. Meanwhile, Rodgers is in his 22nd NFL season and is anticipated to retire after this season, although speculation around Barkley’s own retirement plans often carries a sense of skepticism, given his history of hinting at it without follow-through.
Despite this, Barkley emphasizes that his exit will be marked by gratitude rather than resentment. His approach seems to contrast sharply with Rodgers’ current situation, which seems filled with unresolved tensions.
