Reports suggest that Selina Powell, a fellow influencer, had been plotting to invade Porter’s privacy by leaking his address to her large following of over 3 million people. When she discovered that Porter had removed her from his livestream, she allegedly devised a scheme for revenge. After details about his home were posted on Powell’s Instagram, Porter felt the immediate need to alert the authorities, hurriedly leaving his residence in a state of panic.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time public figures have faced serious privacy concerns; incidents like those involving WNBA players have highlighted the risks of unwanted attention.

Porter openly shared his distress about the leak on social media, expressing disbelief: “She leaked my friend. She put my address on Instagram. And she spilled the beans about Addy on Instagram, so now we feel like we have to make a move… I’ve never seen anyone act like that.” He continued, “She’s mad because we let her get out of the river and she wanted to be part of the river… Isn’t that the craziest thing you’ve ever seen?”

As a result, he mentioned that they now have to relocate, saying, “Now, we have to pack up and get out of here. We have to soak and go somewhere new.”

It’s a bit ironic, perhaps, to be making millions in the NBA while grappling with the instability that can come from the influencer world. The implications of living in the spotlight seem to weigh heavily on him.
