On Friday night, the Knicks and Pacers put on another exhilarating game in perhaps the best NBA playoff series ever.
The Pacers won 111-106 at home despite the Knicks shooting 51.9 percent from 3-point range.
Heading into Game 4, I’m hoping for a more decisive victory for Indiana.
Knicks vs. Pacers Game 4 picks
Donte DiVincenzo was great for the Knicks in this series, scoring 25 points or more in all three games and shooting 56.3 percent from deep.
On Friday, he made 7 of 11 3-pointers and scored 35 points.
The Pacers gave consistent help to Jalen Brunson, holding him to 26 points on 10-of-26 shooting (38 percent), but sacrificing more open threes than they would have liked.
Tyrese Haliburton had the final say in Game 3, scoring 35 points and seven assists on 54 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from deep.
After a quiet Game 1, Haliburton has come alive over the past two games, and the Pacers need him to be the best player on the floor to win this series.
At the end of the day, I see Indiana’s Game 3 performance carrying over into Game 4 as more sustainable. The Knicks’ short-term rotation has been incredibly strained due to unfortunate injuries.
After Alec Burks and Miles McBride combined for 24 points on 50 percent shooting, I’m looking forward to their return.
Do you want to bet on the NBA?
I like Indiana as a deeper, healthier team in Game 4. Especially since they thrive on the energy of their home fans.
The Knicks are expected to cool down with their long-range attacks, so expect a win for the Pacers on Sunday.
play: Pacers -5.5 (Caesars Sportsbook)
