NBA Rising Stars 2025 rosters and format, explained, featuring rookies and sophomores

The NBA Rising Stars Challenge has taken on a variety of appearances in recent years. From the USA vs. World format to the current round-robin form of the four teams, the NBA has been tinkering with Rising Stars games year by year. What remains the same, however, is the fact that the NBA is loaded with young stars and is ready to showcase their skills in the spotlight.

This year, the winning team from Rising Stars Challenge will be taking part in the NBA All-Star Game as part of their debut in this year's four-team tournament. This game is a great opportunity for younger players to create their own names, and is more true than this year.

This is the list of new stars this year.

Team m

Team M is coached by Mitch Richmond. Richmond averaged 21 points per game and spent his first three years in the league Golden State Warriorshe became a star and won the Rookie of the Year in 1988.

Team T

Team T is coaching Tim Hardaway Sr. Another Golden State legend, Hardaway spent six seasons with the Warriors, averaging 19.8 points per game.

If you feel the trend here, you are right. Team C is coached by Chris Mullin, closing out Run TMC, a trio of Richmond, Marin and Hardaway. Marine spent the longest time in the three Bay Areas, averaging 20.1 points in 13 seasons with the Warriors.

Team G League

The name is kind of self-evident. This team is a roster of G League stars who played well on their respective teams. For me, this is a pretty cool opportunity to prove myself against some of the more prominent young people in the league. Who knows, some of these guys can give this to some main roster. The team is coached by Jeremy Lynn. Jeremy Lynn captivated the world New York Knicks. Lynn was originally with the Golden State Warriors when he joined the league in 2010.

NBA Rising Star Game 2025 Format and Schedule

In each semifinal, the winner will be the first team to reach or exceed 40 points. In a championship game, the winner will be the first team to reach or exceed 25 points.

Game 1: Team C vs Team T

Game 2: Team G League vs. Team M

Game 3: Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2

NBA Rising Star Game Game Dates, TV Times, etc.

The Rising Stars game will be held at Chase Centre on February 14th at 9pm ET. It will be broadcast on TNT.
