Stroud said: NBC“First and foremost, I want to give all the glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Kathryn Tappen said after the Texans defeated the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.
He then talked about the tremendous support he received from the city of Houston and its fans.
However, the NBC version began after the religious remarks and removed references to Jesus.
Both versions were posted to X (Twitter) by MLFootball.
“It seems that it is no longer allowed to be religious and pray to God,” ML Football said.
many people criticized NBC Others, including Rep. Byron Donald (R-Florida), criticized the editor, calling it “despicable and un-American.”
“Leave it to @NBCNews to edit CJ Stroud’s references to Jesus Christ,” he wrote to X. “Left-wing attacks on Christianity and its followers are vile and un-American. People like @TonyDungy and CJ have deep faith and gratitude for God and should not be censored. It should be celebrated.”
