Arrest of Teacher’s Son in Child Pornography Case

The son of a teacher at a Catholic elementary school in Ohio has been arrested on allegations of possessing a significant quantity of child sexual abuse material.

Concerns among parents at St. Susannah Parish School in Mason began after they were informed in February that a teacher was no longer in the classroom.

Lane Phoenix Brown, 24, was taken into custody at her mother’s residence in Evendale in March. Her parents contacted local news about potential links to the teacher, and it was later confirmed through public records that Phoenix-Brown is indeed her son.

The school subsequently reached out to parents, disclosing that the suspect had images of students.

“Evendale Police have been notified that an individual recently arrested for child pornography had in their possession images of St. Susannah students,” the communication read. “While this is alarming, police have assured us that the students depicted are not considered victims of any crime related to child pornography.”

Authorities reported that the investigation revealed 15,000 video files and hundreds of thousands of electronic images, some created using artificial intelligence. One video reportedly featured both bestiality and minors.

Furthermore, investigators noted troubling online messages allegedly sent by Phoenix-Brown to another person. One message claimed, “I need to find a 5th or 6th grader.” Another ominous message read, “Because I’m a pedophile x3.” There was also a declaration, “I want to rape them.”

Phoenix-Brown is facing three charges associated with child pornography:

  • Pandering to minors
  • Pandering to the sexual orientation of minors
  • Unlawful use of minors in nude material

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati released a statement indicating that the school is not directly involved in the ongoing investigation into child pornography possession and that inquiries should be directed to the Evendale Police Department.

Brown is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $300,000 bond, according to online records.
