Nell Burton, the 17-year-old daughter of actress Helena Bonham Carter and filmmaker Tim Burton, has stepped into the modeling world.
She appears alongside her mother, who is 59, in a campaign for the American jewelry brand Larkspur & Hawk, which brings a charming family dynamic to the vibrant photoshoot.
This collaboration marks the brand’s 25th anniversary, and it seems fitting that they would do this together.
The collection is aptly titled Palette, showcasing a variety of colorful gemstones that span the entire color spectrum. For the shoot, Bonham Carter’s iconic wild curls were even dyed a soft pink.
Larkspur & Hawk is famed for its 18th-century jewelry technique known as foiling. According to a press release, designer Emily Satloff explored the brand’s foil archives, resulting in a collection of 32 unique colors—each with its own story—to commemorate this special occasion.
The collection includes pieces such as chandelier earrings ($1,950), the Gradient Rivière Necklace ($4,500), and the Jeu de paume bracelet ($1,300).
A particularly sentimental piece in the photoshoot is a stunning necklace, known as the Sadie Riviere, which Bonham Carter once received from her grandmother.
“A few years back, my mom wanted to get me a gift for my birthday,” Nell shared. “We went to the Larkspur & Hawk showroom in New York, and that’s when I chose the Riviere, which I wear almost daily. It’s nice to think I carry a part of her with me wherever I go.”
Helena has a long-standing friendship with Larkspur & Hawk’s designer, Emily Satloff. As noted in the brand’s materials, Emily aimed to create a campaign that honors not just traditional craftsmanship, but also the creative friendships that have influenced its journey.
Emily further explained, “While we operate in different creative realms, we both tap into our artistic sides, so it was a natural fit to build this whimsical campaign together.”
Helena’s vision of a “fantasy Georgian character” aligns beautifully with the brand’s style, which often melds historical influences with contemporary aesthetics.
Recalling a time when she lost one of her earrings, Helena contacted Emily for a replacement. “It’s interesting to think we connected over lost earrings,” she chuckled. “They make me feel joy, thanks to their chemistry in color and foil work,” referring to the distinctive features of Georgian design.
Though based in New York, the brand exudes a distinctly British vibe, which makes the mother-daughter duo a perfect fit for this luxurious yet whimsical anniversary campaign.
