J.P. Morgan Appoints New Co-CEOs for U.S. Private Bank
This week, J.P. Morgan announced the appointment of Nelle Miller and William Sinclair as the new co-CEOs of its U.S. Private Bank, a division dedicated to wealth management for high-profile clients.
The Private Bank is noted for being one of the largest providers of wealth management, boasting more than $2.4 trillion in client assets and having 57 offices across the country, according to their website.
Miller is also a member of both the Asset & Wealth Management and Global Private Bank Operating Committees. She chairs the Advisory Council for New York City’s Market Leadership Team.
Previously, Miller led the New York division of the Private Bank, which is recognized as the largest region. She oversaw Family Office Investments and Advice while also managing the firm’s Global Investment Opportunities and outsourced chief investment officer services, catering to its most complex clients.
“Having spent my career alongside clients during various market cycles and pivotal moments in their families’ lives, Will and I are fortunate to lead a team that understands our clients deeply,” Miller expressed in a statement, as reported by Pulse 2.0.
She added, “The challenges families encounter today are more interconnected than ever, involving private markets, liquidity, and multigenerational planning. This is a remarkable opportunity to enhance what makes this business unique.”
Miller began her journey at J.P. Morgan in 2002 on the Institutional Equities Desk, focusing on hedge and mutual funds as a research salesperson.
According to her biography on the J.P. Morgan website, “Nelle continues to provide personal advice to some of New York’s most prominent families.” It highlights her as a committed mentor for many young women within the firm, actively participating in their professional development.
On the other hand, Sinclair joined J.P. Morgan in 2007 and serves as the global co-head of the Family Office Practice as well as being part of both the U.S. and Global Private Bank operating committees. His leadership approach is described as client-focused, overseeing more than 5,500 professionals across 57 U.S. offices. They aim to support individuals, families, family offices, and institutions with various wealth management needs.
Throughout his career, Sinclair has spent a decade as a senior private banker, collaborating with business leaders, hedge fund managers, and J.P. Morgan executives on their financial requirements.
In a statement, Sinclair remarked, “Nelle and I are honored to take on this responsibility and to extend the global reach of the Private Bank to families and markets throughout the U.S.” He acknowledged the exceptional team and wide array of services available, emphasizing a commitment to delivering the full strength of J.P. Morgan to their clients while continuing to attract top talent in the industry.
Their new roles come after David Frame was appointed global CEO of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in July 2025.
