Netanyahu Calls Khamenei “Modern Hitler” Amid Iranian Uprising Calls
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as “modern Hitler” on Tuesday, expressing his intention to foster a climate for governmental change in Iran. This statement came as the exiled Crown Prince of Iran urged his countrymen to instigate a national uprising.
In an interview on Israeli television, Netanyahu remarked, “Cylas has freed the Jews, and today the Jewish state may liberate the Persians.” He added, “In the end, they have to stand up themselves, but we’re creating conditions,” indicating a belief that Israeli military actions could potentially alter the political landscape in Iran.
While a regime change in Iran isn’t stated as a direct objective of the ongoing military operations, Netanyahu suggested that their impact could be significant. “We’re going to look at another Middle East, a reality we haven’t seen before,” he predicted, envisioning an expanded Arab world through the success of the Abraham Agreement following the military operation.
Netanyahu emphasized that Iran poses a severe threat, declaring, “It’s either us or them.” He claimed that “80%” of Iranians harbor hatred for Khamenei’s regime and identified the Supreme Leader with historical tyrannies.
At 75, Netanyahu revealed plans to target more Iranian regime facilities as part of an operation that commenced last week.
In parallel, Crown Prince Reza Pallavi, the son of Iran’s last shah, insisted that the collapse of the Islamic Republic is imminent. “The Islamic Republic has reached its end and is in the process of collapse,” he asserted, calling for action amid ongoing turmoil.
Pallavi, now 64 and living in exile, characterized Khamenei as a “frightened rat” and voiced optimism about Iran’s future. “What started is irreversible,” he stated, urging for a nationwide uprising to end the current situation.
Pallavi reassured Iranians regarding their future post-Khamenei, dismissing fears of civil war or instability. He claimed, “We have plans for Iran’s future and its prosperity,” as he called for a transitional period leading to a democratic government.
In a plea to Iranian security forces, he urged them not to oppose their fellow citizens during a potential uprising, insisting that the regime’s fall is inevitable. “Don’t sacrifice yourself for a corrupt regime,” he advised, advocating for solidarity with the people.
Claims of a brighter future for Iran were echoed, as Pallavi expressed hope for unity in the nation’s path forward.
Long an advocate for change in Iran, Pallavi believes that the current government has impeded the progress of his country. Previously, he called on President Trump to intensify pressure on the Iranian administration, contrasting this with former President Biden’s approach.
Pallavi’s comments followed Trump’s call for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and claims of knowing Khamenei’s whereabouts. Trump warned that American patience was waning.
