Nevada Officials Asked to Remove Residents Registered to Vote at Commercial Businesses

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) is calling on election officials in Clark County, Nevada, to remove from the voter rolls people who are registered to vote at strip clubs, casinos, Harry Reid International Airport, tobacco shops, gas stations and other businesses, a petition obtained exclusively by Breitbart News has learned.

On Monday, PILF lawyers sent a letter to Clark County Registrar Lorena Portillo (exclusively seen by Breitbart News) asking her to remove registrants who list commercial property as their primary address on their voter registrations.

“Our analysis of Nevada’s statewide voter rolls, dated April 9, 2024, identified numerous addresses that are listed as residential but that appear to be unoccupied commercial buildings,” PILF lawyers said in their petition calling for Clark County’s voter rolls to be cleaned up by June 17.

Among the seemingly incomplete voter registrations listed by PILF lawyers were ones in which registrants listed Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club, a 7-Eleven, a Nevada gas station, Chavelo’s Mexican Bar & Grill, Harry Reid International Airport and a Mini Mart & Smoke Shop as their primary addresses.

Accurate voter registration addresses are especially important in Clark County because election officials Mail Ballots will be sent to all registered voters at the address provided when they registered, regardless of whether they requested a ballot.

As Breitbart News reported, in October 2020, PILF lawyers released video footage showing various commercial real estate properties that registrants had listed as their primary addresses for voting purposes.

Last month, PILF lawyers filed a lawsuit in Washoe County, Nevada. Demanding Election officials will clean up voter rolls to ensure that registrants who have commercial property listed as their primary address are corrected or removed.

“For years, Nevada election officials have ignored compelling evidence that commercial addresses appear on voter rolls,” PILF President J. Christian Adams said of the lawsuit.

“We are asking the court to compel Nevada election officials to investigate and address improper commercial addresses on voter rolls,” Adams said. “Nevada must have accurate voter rolls or some of these liquor stores and tattoo parlors will be receiving ballots in the mail.”
