Shocking Moments in Ghost Adventures

A recent episode of Ghost Adventures features a startling moment where host Aaron Goodwin discovers that his wife has been arrested for allegedly plotting to murder him.

This particular clip aired on Discovery+ and shows Goodwin in disbelief as he looks at his phone while filming in the eerie Hollydale Psychiatric Hospital in Downey, California.

“Hold on a second,” Goodwin, age 49, replies as he answers the call, according to the footage.

“Are you okay?” asks fellow cast member Jay Wasley.

“The police are in my house… I need to get out,” Goodwin says, leaving the dark, abandoned location in a hurry.

The production team chose to limit the footage to respect Goodwin during this distressing time.

Shortly after the call, he learned that his wife, Victoria Goodwin, 32, had been arrested for aiding and abetting murder and conspiracy to kill him. Reports indicate she hired someone for the job.

In the lead-up to the plot, Victoria was involved with “several men,” one of whom was convicted murderer Grant Amato, as Goodwin mentioned during her sentencing in June.

Amato, age 32, is serving a life sentence in Florida for the brutal murder of his family but had been in contact with Victoria through letters, inspired by his role in a documentary.

According to reports, Victoria expressed her wish to kill Goodwin, stating, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not a divorce,” in messages to Amato.

She allegedly provided over $11,000 for the murder and shared information about her husband’s routines with the hitman.

The plot was discovered when authorities seized a cell phone from an inmate, leading to further investigations.

After the shocking revelation, Aaron filed for divorce.

In an Instagram update, Goodwin mentioned the challenge of dealing with the aftermath, noting that he wouldn’t be watching the episode due to the difficult memories it brings. He described feeling disturbed by the details emerging during the investigation.

Victoria was found guilty and received a sentence ranging from 36 to 90 months in Nevada State Prison.

The complete episode titled “Hollydale Hospital from Hell” aired on Discovery+ at 10 p.m. ET.
