Jasmine Crockett wasn't a famous name in 2023, or in fact, 2024, but she was busy making headlines with her bold and controversial remarks, robbing her path to the top of the party left in a complete hellish scene after the final presidential election.
Crockett was first elected to a Congressional seat in 2023 and served as national co-chair of the Harris Waltz Campaign, but in recent weeks, her name recognition has skyrocketed. Her controversial remarks have attracted the attention of Attorney General Pam Bondy, and now she faces a denouncement resolution to tease Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) and calls him the “Governor Hot Wheel.”
But first, back it up.
Crockett began making waves on social media after Trump took office, signaling everyone that she was here to “resist.” Less than a month after Trump took office, Crockett appeared on CNN and blew up the Trump administration's efforts to remove diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies from the federal government. During her rants, she oddly denounced “white supremacists” for 80% of the country's violent crimes.
“But the people who have committed 80% of the most violent crimes in the country are white supremacists. But for some reason, they are sitting down and serving the president's joy,” she misrepresented.
Lawmakers who believe Trump is the “enemy of the United States” quickly produced ock laughs after posting a strange, persistent video on Trump's speech day before Congress.
“Well… the state of integration will begin soon. I'm going to be present,” she wrote, urging people not to see it. In this video, a female lawmaker features lip syncing and dancing alongside two others in the office and hallway.
It's no surprise that she was one of the disgruntled Democrats who left during her speech. She proudly flashed her “resist” shirt.
She continued to decorate the presence of social media and took part in the video game style “Pick Your Fighter” Tiktok video.
All the while, – I don't know who publicly will have an election in four years. – I tried to change her rhetoric to 11.
For example, she sparked caution from Attorney General Bondi after she publicly stated that all she wanted for her birthday was “Eron being defeated.”
“Now you have this MP Crockett, who is asking for an attack on Elon Musk on her birthday. “Let's take him to my birthday,” she said. Sunday morning futurewarn lawmakers to “step very carefully.”
However, Crockett has been denied and claims she has not promoted violence. However, she continues to use inflammatory rhetoric that surprises the left side of the right.
In a recent interview, Crockett said Democrats have to “punch” to win the election in Texas. He targeted Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), and in particular he said he “has got to knock on his head like a hard one.”
She was asked, “How do you win an election in Texas as a Democrat? What do you do? What do you do, especially statewide?”
“I think you're a punch,” Crockett said. “I think it's a punch. I think you're fine – you're fine even if you punch.”
“You know, I love Colin. I think he started punching a little harder towards the end,” she continued.
“But it's Ted Cruz. So does this guy have to be knocked over his head?” she added. “Like, it's not very good for him.
The loose Democrat continued his winning streak of inflammatory remarks, paralyzing Greg Abbott, who was paralyzed in a speech at the 2025 Human Rights Campaign (HRC) dinner.
“Yeah, I know we got the governor's hot wheels out there,” she said. “Now, now. And what's hot about him is that he's a hot mess.
That comment caught the attention of Texas Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX).
The resolution states that the statement was “inherently discriminatory” and is the latest in what he described as a “continued series of inappropriate comments.”
Crockett doesn't end there either, as she is currently facing accusations of grabbing a journalist's phone and scratching her hand.
Crockett appears desperate to make his name with the crushed Democrats after the American people handed the decisive victory to President Donald Trump in November.
The 43-year-old lawmaker believes Democrats are looking for “younger, fresher leadership,” as opposed to someone like Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and she appears to be trying to fill that gap.
Meanwhile, Schumer believes Republicans will feel like a “sinking ship rat” in 2026, but very clearly, Democrats who are not only on obviously unruddered ships, but also sinking to historic level of approval.
