Tragic Murder Case in New Jersey

Authorities report that a father, Everton Thomas, 41, along with his family—Shelley Parker, 41, and son Deshaun Thomas, 22—has been charged in connection with the murder of 48-year-old Harold Miller from Deptford.

These charges emerged from an event that occurred on June 12th, where Miller was at a friend’s home in Camden for a card game. After leaving, he somehow ended up at the Thomas family’s residence, although it’s still unclear how he knew them.

Surveillance footage captured Miller entering the Thomas home around 11:30 AM, but he never appeared to leave. A missing person report was filed by June 14, sparking concerns, as nobody had seen him since.

Following the suspected shooting, Parker and Deshaun Thomas were seen purchasing chainsaws, garbage bags, and cleaning supplies, indicating a possible intention to hide evidence, the prosecutor’s office noted.

Footage later showed Everton and Deshaun allegedly disposing of large, loaded garbage bags at a Camden apartment. On June 20, police conducted a search at their home, where they found signs of violence and a loaded gun in Everton’s possession.

Interestingly, the following day, Everton attempted to flee to Canada before he was apprehended at the Buffalo border while trying to cross by bus.

On September 5th, all three family members were officially charged. Everton faces charges of first-degree murder, among others, while Parker and Deshaun are charged with tampering with evidence.

As of now, the remains of Miller have not yet been found, leaving many questions unanswered in this shocking case.
