After nearly two weeks abroad, Luka Doncic has returned home. He arrived back in Los Angeles on Friday, just before the Lakers take on the Rockets in their first playoff series.
Doncic suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain back on April 2 in Oklahoma City. Following some imaging tests in Dallas, he traveled to Spain for specialized treatment aimed at hastening his recovery.
Prior to returning to Los Angeles, Doncic spent some time in Madrid, followed by a weekend in Slovenia, where he caught up with his two daughters before heading back to Spain for more therapy.
Just this Thursday, he was seen courtside at a Real Madrid basketball game, enjoying the atmosphere of the arena that holds nostalgic memories for him.
By Friday afternoon, Doncic’s journey concluded at home, as he was spotted arriving at his Manhattan Beach residence around 5:30 p.m. The fresh air of California was a stark contrast to what he had experienced in Europe, especially with the playoffs only a day away.
Shortly after getting home, Doncic took off on an electric bike with his father.
On that same Friday, the Lakers confirmed that Doncic, along with teammate Austin Reaves, would sit out Game 1 of their series against the Rockets but would likely be present on the bench for the matchup.
