New wife of double murderer shouts 'I love you!' as he is executed while claiming he is innocent

The recently married wife of a double murderer plunged from a window, crying “I love you” as her husband faced execution in Texas.

Tiana Krasniqi, a British law graduate, married James Broadnax just weeks before he was put to death by lethal injection on Thursday. Broadnax had been convicted of murdering two men during a robbery in 2008.

Krasniqi, who had rekindled their relationship through letters while he was incarcerated, was left distraught when the execution went forward after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a delay request.

“I love you,” she called out repeatedly as Broadnax, 37, received the fatal injection for a crime he claimed he didn’t commit.

As he took his final breaths, shaking his head, she threw herself towards the death chamber window with her arms extended.

Broadnax was declared dead 21 minutes later, and Krasniqi was so overwhelmed by the moment that she needed assistance leaving the prison.

Afterward, she expressed her anguish on TikTok, stating, “They killed my husband.”

“He suffered terribly during the injection. His nose was bleeding and his neck bruised. His family just laughed and watched. Is that really justice?” she added.

Krasniqi and Broadnax tied the knot on April 14 while he was in prison. They had maintained a correspondence relationship for two years while she pursued a master’s degree in human rights law in London.

She had held onto hope that he would be spared from execution.
