New York Magazine, Olivia Nuzzi part ways

New York Magazine and top reporter Olivia Nuzzi have parted ways after it became public that she was involved in an inappropriate relationship with former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Ta.

The magazine said it had enlisted the help of law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to investigate Mr. Nuzzi's work. Lawyers reached the same conclusion as the magazine's original internal investigation. Mr. Nuzzi, the magazine's Washington correspondent, has not published inaccurate information or shown any evidence of bias in his work.

“Nevertheless, the magazine and Nuzzi agreed that the best course of action was to part ways. Nuzzi is a uniquely talented writer, and we followed her work for nearly eight years as our Washington correspondent. I'm proud to have published it.” wrote the magazine. “We wish her all the best.”

Last month, the magazine said Mr. Nuzzi told an editor that he had a personal relationship while reporting on the campaign, which it said violated its standards “regarding conflicts of interest and disclosure.”

Media critic Oliver Darcy first reported The original candidate was Kennedy, but he reportedly withdrew from the presidential race and supported former President Trump.

Mr. Nuzzi has been placed on administrative leave while his job is reviewed within the company. The magazine said that if he had known about the relationship, Nuzzi “would not have continued covering the presidential election.”
