Republican lawmakers in New York are sitting on their hands after a second attack on immigrants in just two weeks, calling it a crisis of “epic proportions.”

“Let’s be clear about one thing: President Biden and Governor Hochul’s executive actions caused this crisis,” Rep. Marcus Molinaro (RN.Y.) said in a statement to FOX News Digital. .

“We are currently witnessing a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions in New York State and across the nation, with innocent people being terrorized by criminals,” he added. “We can solve this crisis by closing our borders, stripping New York of its sanctuary state status, and toughening penalties for violent criminals in New York.”

Rep. Claudia Tenney (RN.Y.) said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the recent spike in violent crimes committed by immigrants is “not surprising” because Democratic leaders support “open border policies.” No,” he said.
