On HBO's “real-time” broadcast on Friday, host Bill Maher said California Gov. Gavin Newsom (d) was a comment about a biological man playing female sports. Maher also said “two weeks ago” Newsom was on the left about the trance issue. “But I don't care. You've made the switch and I love it.”
Maher said, “I love this because I think he's a great politician. I know, he's smooth, yeah, they said the same thing about Clinton. He's a great politician, he's really smart, he can have great stories, the chicks dig him. And I've always said, if he's just staying at the center, I've always said. Well, that happened this week.”
Maher continued, “He said, I had one meeting where people started going around the table with pronouns, and I said, I said, why is this the biggest problem? Good, [Gavin]2 weeks ago, that was your biggest problem, but I don't mind. You made a switch and I love it. That's what I'm saying, you switch and I love it. ”
