Cleveland Browns Secure Victory Over Steelers
On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns edged out the Pittsburgh Steelers with a score of 13-6. This win marked an important moment for rookie quarterback Shedule Sanders, as it thrusts the AFC North title race between the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens into focus.
The game’s final play had fans buzzing, as many called for a penalty flag after an incident that left some scratching their heads.
Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers quarterback, aimed for a touchdown pass to wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling with just 21 seconds remaining. However, Browns cornerback Denzel Ward intervened right at that moment, helping secure the win for Cleveland. According to reports, Ward leapt with Valdes-Scantling, appearing to interfere just as the ball was delivered. Interestingly, no penalty was issued, prompting fans to question the lack of a defensive pass interference call.
Despite throwing two interceptions, Sanders managed to maintain the lead for the Browns. He successfully connected with Harold Fannin Jr. for a 28-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and kicker Andre Schmidt added two field goals—these points proved decisive for the win.
Sanders completed 17 of 23 passes, amassing 186 yards while being sacked twice. On the other side, Rodgers was 21 of 39 for 168 yards but struggled without his key target, DK Metcalf. He did manage to find tight end Pat Freiermuth during the Steelers’ last drive, but ultimately, the team fell short.
Freiermuth contributed three catches for 63 yards. With this loss, the Steelers now face the Ravens in their upcoming game, which will be critical for both teams as they vie for the division title and a playoff spot.
Meanwhile, the Ravens secured a victory against the Green Bay Packers, with Derrick Henry leading the charge by scoring four touchdowns.
In their last encounter, the Steelers had narrowly defeated the Ravens, 27-22, back in Week 14.
