NFL fans get introduced to Chiefs running back’s pet alligator

Clocky J may replace Taylor Swift as the star of football fans' hearts this season.

No, Clocky J isn't the next big pop star: He's Chiefs running back Carson Steele's pet alligator, who was featured on NBC's broadcast of Kansas City's season opener against the Ravens on Thursday.

Steele revealed in August that he keeps the reptile as a pet and has given the creature several nicknames.

“I gave my son a second or third grade as a Christmas present,” Steele told reporters last month. According to KCTV“So I've had it for a while now. It's in a big tank at home now.”

As the announcer talked about Steele's exotic pet, the NBC broadcast cut to a shot of Clocky J. Clocky J was at Steele's parents' home in Indiana while Steele worked on getting the proper paperwork to bring the alligator to Kansas City.

Social media users quickly went crazy for the pet, expressing their excitement for Crocky J to X.

“I just found out about Croquis J and I would die for him.” Someone wrote.

“I came here for Croquis J.” Another comment.

Steele impressed many during training camp and the preseason after signing with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.

During a recent episode of “The New Heights Podcast,” player Travis Kelce praised Steele and what he's accomplished during training camp.

“I think he's much more than a fullback. He's very athletic and can do a lot with the ball in his hands.” Kelsey said.

“Plus, he's a big special teams guy. He's a do-it-all kind of guy, just like coach says.”
