Juszczyk, 33, has been a powerhouse of attacks for the 49ers since he was first brought in in 2017 by coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. Meanwhile, he won eight of nine Pro Bowl nods and was the first team All-Pro in 2023.

Monday's news sent shockwaves around the league, including from people closest to 12-year NFL veterans.

Juszczyk was caused by a $4.1 million salary this season. Instead, the Niners receive a $3.6 million dead cap charge on the release.
