This year's center class free agent has several starters.
We voted for a group of writers around SB Nation to gather consensus rankings on players. Although unanimous picks are not in the bundle as people value different WR characteristics, our group stands out in several defined layers.
Players will be removed from the list as they will re-sign with their current team until the opening of the free agency in March.

6. Conor McGovern, New York Jets
Make sure you find the correct one when you look up Connor McGovern. Bills' center Conor McGovern is a Pro Bowl alternative. Jets centre Conner McGovern is slowly falling further below the order of the pecking order at this point in his career. He started with the Jets practice squad in 2024, signed by the saints and released, then claiming New York exemption. In 2020, the Jets gave him a three-year, $27 million contract, but in 2024 he played for the bare minimum veterinary.
5. Evan Brown, Arizona Cardinals
Able to play guard and center, Brown has started 56 games in the last four seasons of the Lions, Seahawks and Cardinals. He made $2.35 million last year. update: Evan Brown re-signed with Cardinals.
4. Bradley Boseman, Los Angeles Chargers
A very reliable player, Boseman has played every game since 2019 with the Ravens, Panthers and now the Chargers. He minimized the league in 2024, but the contract he signed for Carolina was three years and $18 million. He is mostly known as a pass blocker.
3. Coleman Shelton of the Chicago Bears
Shelton was with the Bears for a year after starting his career with the Rams. He is a much better run blocker than a pass blocker and isn't necessarily a starter. His 2024 contract was only $3 million.
2. Ryan Kelly, Indianapolis Colts
All of our voters were voted in Kelly second. He is a nine-season multi-time pro bowler with the Colts following his selection in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He's finished his contract that became the highest-paid center in the NFL when it was signed, but he made 32 spins this offseason and missed most of the season with a knee injury (but he's back later in the calendar so it won't remain). update: Kelly signed a two-year contract with the Vikings.
1. Drew Dalman, Atlanta Falcons
Our top pick for consensus, Dalman has been the Falcons starter since 2022. He missed half the season of 2024 with an ankle injury. He is known as a run blocker rather than pass protection. update:Dalman has agreed to a deal with the Chicago Bears.

- Drew Dalman agreed to work with Thechicago Beats on a three-year deal
- Evan Brown re-signed Cardinals on a two-year contract
