Kinsey responds: A two-man booth, please! Has there ever been a successful three-man setup? It doesn’t ring a bell for me. Remember ESPN’s Monday Night Football from 2018? They had Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, and Booger McFarland—what a disaster that was.
It was such a mess that they had to put Booger in a sideline cart, which ended up obstructing the view for fans. I even posted about it online, pointing out how ridiculous it was. Thankfully, they never repeated that setup.

Thinking back, I recall another three-person booth with James Lofton and Jay Feely. Jay took my critique pretty hard. The dynamic was, to put it mildly, not ideal—Jay often overshadowed Lofton. I wasn’t trying to be harsh; it was just an observation. If CBS wanted Feely in the booth, a two-man team was essential. And now he’s a couple of months away from possibly getting elected to Congress.

Kinsey: Saturday marked the first high school varsity race at a challenging course in NW Ohio. Our top finisher for the 5K clocked in at 16:46.70. Last year, our best runner finished with a time of 15:44.77 at the state meet.
