The NFL is set to feature seven international games during the 2025 season, marking a notable expansion in its global reach. Most of the matchups were announced recently, with various destinations confirmed.
London, a familiar site for NFL regular-season games since 2007, will host three of these contests. Brazil and Germany will also see action, and interestingly, two new nations will be experiencing regular-season football for the first time this year.
Ireland’s Dublin and Spain’s Madrid will also welcome teams competing for the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy next season. Here’s a rundown of the scheduled games:
- Week 1: TBD vs. Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo (September 5)
- Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Minnesota Vikings in Dublin (September 28)
- Week 5: Minnesota Vikings vs. Cleveland Browns in London (October 5)
- Week 6: Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets in London (October 12)
- Week 7: Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London (October 19)
- Week 10: Atlanta Falcons vs. Indianapolis Colts in Berlin (November 9)
- Week 11: Miami Dolphins vs. Washington Commanders in Madrid (November 16)
Additionally, the Kansas City Chiefs are expected to face off against their AFC West rivals, the Chargers, in Brazil, with full details likely to be announced soon.
Notably, the Vikings will make history as the first team to play in two different countries in back-to-back weeks. With their dynamic offense, which many expect to be led by JJ McCarthy, they’ll showcase their skills both in Ireland and the UK early in the season.
The NFL continues to focus on expanding its global footprint, planning to increase the number of international games each season. London has been a pivotal market for building NFL fandom, with the league also recently making strides in Germany. The upcoming matchup in Berlin will be the fifth game held there since the NFL’s initiative began.
Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers made history in Sao Paulo, enhancing the league’s presence in Brazil.
Looking ahead, there are already talks of a game in Melbourne, Australia, set for 2026. The full season schedule will be released soon.
