NFL Looking To Hold Game In Australia Where You Know Players Are Going To Hate The Super Long Flight: REPORT

We’re getting farther and farther away from America …

Now that the NFL‘s international series is over for this season following the game Sunday in Germany between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers, league executives now look towards what’s next, and on the agenda is expansion within the next few years. The National Football League views London, England as the centerpiece of their international series, which has been going on for years. Nothing has changed there. However, there appears to be a new No. 2 hotspot for the NFL when it comes to investment, and it’s the island continent (and nation) of Australia, according to a report Tuesday from CBS Sports.

According to the outlet, sources said the league could schedule a regular season contest in the “Land Down Under” as early as 2026. And not just that, but the NFL is also interested in hosting their Pro Bowl Games in Australia. The league has already visited sites in both Sydney and Melbourne.

From a viewer’s perspective, it would be pretty cool to see an NFL game in Australia, but I already know those players are going to hate that 16-hour flight. A 16-hour flight that I have firsthand experience with, multiple times, and I can tell you that it sucks.

And though I love Australia, I gotta be honest, I’m not liking the NFL pulling football more and more out of America each passing year — you know a Super Bowl is coming soon. And just imagine that, having to watch the Big Game at 1 o’clock in the afternoon or some jazz like that.

Man, those days are gonna blow.
